All good things must come to an end, and today was the end of our good thing. We sailed, in 9 ½ hours, from Friday Harbor to Kingston, WA. It was a very good day beginning with dead calm and cold, an intermediate period of lots of wind and chop and cold, and and ending of peace and quiet and warm. It didn’t rain, thank goodness. The best photos were at the very beginning. We were up at 6:00 a.m. to be able to leave at 7:00 a.m. to catch the tide. It was an utterly lovely departure.
