Today's photo inspired me to do a bit of reading about UW rowing. According to Wikipedia, rowing at the University of Washington dates back to 1901. It is the most successful athletic program of any type at any university anywhere in the world having won twenty six national titles. In 1936, men's crew were undefeated national champions, world champions, and won gold at the olympic games in Germany. In 2012 the men won every event at the national championships. Go Dawgs!
