For me, Gasworks Parks represents the very essence of Seattle. It is industrial to its core, having been the site of a coal gasification plant for 50 years. Now it's a park, it's industrial machinery transformed into objects of whimsey. It's the site of a kite flying sundial, peace vigils, and naked bikers. It is Seattle.
