This is not, of course, an actual stairway to heaven but merely the stairway to the top of the water tower in Volunteer Park. From the top are marvelous views in all directions along with a great deal of well presented information about the implementation of the Olmsted Park System in Seattle. But from a photographic point of view, the stairway is more interesting than the either the views or the parks.
