The title of this work, in the Olympic Sculpture Park, is "Split". I don't know why. It's by New York artist Roxy Paine who likes, apparently, to explore the boundaries between man-made reality and natural reality. This tree isn't a "real" tree, but it's certainly real. And this photographic representation of it doesn't accurately represent the real, unreal tree but is, instead, real in a different way.
