For today I thought it might be fun to show you the house next door. To do it justice I'm going to break my one photo rule and show you a couple. When we moved to Seattle the house was rented by someone who cared about it. Now it's rented to the brother and son of the owner and no one cares about it.
From the overgrown front yard and the dead flowers in rotting flower boxes,
to the less-than-inviting side porch with it's decorative glass balls held up by beer cans,
we need only to peek out through our normally closed venetian blinds to be reassured that no, we're not in Kansas, or in our case East Grand Rapids, anymore.
And that's a good thing.
